1983.06BMG was founded by Dr. HYON with the cooperation of Kyoto University.
1986.06Through collaboration of Gunze Ltd., BMG started production of Polyglycolide (PGA) which is used for producing biodegradable suture. (First mass production in Japan, receiving production arrival from Ministry of Health & Welfare)
1986.06Moved the company building to Minami-ku, Kyoto City and began manufacturing polyglycolic acid (raw material for bioabsorbable sutures).
1995.10A new company building was completed and the company name was changed to BMG Co., Ltd. in the same year.
1996.04Commenced production of Poly-L-lactide (PLLA) for biodegradable bone fixture.
1997.04Commenced production of Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR) membrane for dentistry.
1998.09Commenced production of Poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)(LCL) for producing biodegradable monofilament sutures.
2002.02Signed a patent license agreement with US Biomet regarding sliding parts for artificial joints with excellent wear resistance.
2003.05Establishment of new biodegradable and absorbable polymer production equipment and expansion of company building.
2004.04Obtained approval from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to manufacture “ACRYSHOT”, a material for denture bases that is gentle on the human body.
2005.03Obtained permission from Kyoto Prefecture to manufacture medical equipment for the human-friendly denture base material “ACRYSHOT”
2006.03The Japan Science and Technology Agency established BioVerde Co., Ltd. with the aim of commercializing the pre-venture project ``Research on the creation of long-term room-temperature storage solution for biological tissue'' as a technology seed.
2006.10Started sales of refrigerated preservation solution for biological tissue “TelioKeep”
2008.04Insurance coverage begins for “ACRYSHOT”, a thermoplastic resin for denture bases.
2009.04Started sales of cryopreservation solution for cells "CryoScarless DMSO-Free"
2010.07Started sales of "StemCell Keep" vitrification cryopreservation solution for primate ES/iPS cells
2011.06Exchanged R&D contract with NIPRO CORPORATION regarding BMG-original medical adhesive
2011.11At the “41st Kyoto City Venture Company Appraisal Committee”, our business plan “Commercialization of medical adhesives with excellent performance and high safety” was additionally certified as A rank.
2012.02Started sales of antioxidant Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg)
2012.04Started sales of recombinant human serum albumin “IBUKI(Recombinant, Human Serum Albumin)”
2018.08Made BioVerde Co., Ltd. a 100% subsidiary.
2021.05Started sales of poly-ε-caprolactone (PCL) and BioDegmer filament for 3D printers
2021.05Started sales of CPLL solution "CryoBov for Sperm" for freezing bovine semen and "CryoBov for Embryo" for freezing bovine fertilized eggs (embryos)
2021.06Accepted investment totaling 600 million yen from Toagosei Co., Ltd. and Universal Materials Incubator Co., Ltd.
2021.12Accepted investment totaling 130 million yen from Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Kyoto Bank Lease Capital Co., Ltd.
2021.12Obtained ISO 13485 certification for raw materials for surgical adhesives and medical adhesives from the Japan Management Association.
2022.02Signed a joint development agreement with Asahi Kasei Corporation to develop new applications for the medical adhesive "LYDEX"
2022.06Our subsidiary BioVerde Co., Ltd. and Heartseed Co., Ltd. enter into a joint development agreement regarding cryopreservation solution for iPS cells.
2022.10Obtained first-class medical device manufacturing and sales license from Kyoto Prefecture.
2022.12Absorbed and merged with BioVerde Co., Ltd.
2024.05The homepage has been renewed
