IBUKI

IBUKI is an animal-free recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) produced in rice (oryza sativa) endosperm.
The product has the same structure, properties and physiological activity as natural albumin purified from human serum.
Feature

- IBUKI is produced using a technique that introduces the HSA gene into rice and allows the rice, the seed, to accumulate large amounts of the recombinant protein.
- IBUKI is expressed as HSA full-length protein and shows the same molecular weight and isoelectric point (pI) as the natural form. There is no glycosylation.
- IBUKI can be used as a substitute for human and animal-derived albumin for various applications including cell culture, cell preservation, and vaccine research.
- IBUKI can be used as a medium additive in the same way as natural-type HSA. It protects cells from fatty acids and toxic components, stabilizes cell membranes, maintains osmotic pressure, and provides good cell culture conditions.
- IBUKI shows stable activity with no lot-to-lot differences.

- Purity 99.0% min.
a) Measurement by RP-HPLC
b) Measurement by SDS-PAGE

Usage

Dissolve IBUKI (1.0 g) in PBS (10 ml) and prepare as a 100 mg/ml stock solution.
The stock solution should be sterilized by filtration using a 0.22 μm filter and stored at -20°C.
The stock solution should be diluted to the desired concentration using culture medium or PBS.
