TelioKeep

ThelioKeep is a refrigerated preservation solution free of DMSO and serum proteins, ideal for epithelial, endothelial and neural tissues.

※ For research use only. Not for other uses.
※ ThelioKeep is sold by Funakoshi Co., Ltd.

Feature

  • Membrane morphology of physically fragile epithelial and endothelial tissues can be maintained and kept refrigerated (4-10°C) for 1 to 2 weeks while retaining proliferative function.
  • Stored tissues can be washed and used for various experiments with appropriate media.
  • Serum and protein components are not included.
  • Aseptic testing confirms that there is no contamination of bacteria, fungi, or mycoplasma.
  • This product can be stored at 4°C in its unopened (pre-prepared) state ( Expiry 2 years ).

Experimental Example

The morphology of corneal endothelial tissue was compared after being preserved for two weeks in either this product (Left) or medium alone (Right) The tissue preserved with this product maintained its morphology and was found to proliferate at approximately twice the rate (Lower figure).

Outline operation

  1. Dissolve approximately 0.5 ml of the product aseptically in the provided microtube containing the preservative (EGCG) and return the entire amount to the ThelioKeep bottle and stir.
  1. After confirming that the preservative is completely dissolved, place several ml of the solution in a centrifuge tube or other container and cool to 4-10°C.
      • Prepared solutions should be used as soon as possible. When divided into smaller portions, they can be stored at -20°C for 1 to 2 weeks.
  1. Epithelial and endothelial tissues removed from experimental animals are immersed in the solution of 2., covered and stored at 4°C.
  1. After lightly washing the tissue stored in 3. in cold PBS, transfer the tissue to the test medium and use it for the experiment while the tissue is still alive.
      • If incubated, return to normal physiologically active temperature (e.g., 37°C) as soon as possible.
      • When preparing slides or other tissue specimens, fix them promptly.
      • When extracting tissue substances, wash the samples well in cold PBS beforehand.
